Agantuk

A Satyajit Ray classic -- this movie showcases some stellar performances by Uptal Dutta, Mamata Shankar and the rest of the cast. The story is about a "long lost" uncle of Mamata Shankar, a Calcutta Socialite/housewife suddenly appearing out of nowhere for a visit.

This uncle is well known as being an eccentric person, but the gap between his "disappearance" and visit is so huge, that everyone is in a quandry about his true identity, his motives and this sets the stage for some marvellous acting and interplay of complex emotions between the various characters (wouldn't be more than 10 characters in the whole film).
