Dr RN Iyengar

More than a decade ago I got into touch with this fantastic master of many branches of knowledge, Dr R N Iyengar, to clear some doubts I had in the the geography of  Bharatavarsha as depicted in Valmiki Ramayana. I have since had plenty of learning experiences, both through attending seminars in which he was taking part and through reading his stellar publications which he was kind enough to share with me.

I sincerely hope that this civil and structural engineer, research scientist as well as administrator, science historian, expert on earthquakes, archeo-astronomer, Sanskrit scholar and Indologist, this teacher of teachers, who appears quite young now in his late eighties, is able to complete and surpass his century on this planet in good health and undiminished capacity to create new knowledge.
