Today's Hindu, MetroPlus supplement  features this take by Neeti sarkar, following a rather high power research on the motivation for blogging from a hewlett-Packard, Palo Alto based research/survey on the subject.

Bloggers are uniquely accused of non-altruistic, self-glorifying activity.

The poor dears are not even seeking to be financially compensated for their efforts!

The surveyors should know that they can pick up any group, indulging in any legitimate activity and find that altruism will not be the sole motive for all persons surveyed.
